Color Guard
One of the Air Force Junior ROTC program's co-curriculars with the highest visibility is Color Guard. Color guard is a specialized team who present the national colors at school events and local ceremonies. A Color Guard detail consists of four highly motivated cadets that take pride in the presentation of the national colors at many events such as football games, pep rallies, and holidays such as 9/11, Memorial Day, and Veterans Day. The detail contains 2 cadets who will hold the rifles, 1 Air Force flag carrier, and 1 U.S flag carrier. The American flag will always be held by the commander of the detail. Through the course of the training, you'll learn how to collaborate with one another, acquire understanding of facing movement techniques, and get certified for different specialities like rifle or flag carry (either or both the Air Force or National Flag). Experienced cadets will supervise, teach and "test" newcomers on the rifle techniques they learned during practice, and if they "pass", the newcomers will be certified for rifle. The moment a cadet is certified for riffle, they will receive the color guard cord. In addition, if an individual cadet does five details, they will be able to get the color guard ribbon. (One needs to be certified to be in a color guard detail). If an individual cadet does five details, they will be able to get the color guard ribbon. Also, cadets can still improve within color guard after being certified for riffle by learning flag movements, which after being tested and approved by our ASI and/or SASI, will become certified for the Air Force flag. Lastly, cadets can gain one more certification, for the American flag, after being tested in their command voice.

Raider Team
|
Raider Team is one of the Air Force JROTC's most physically demanding extracurricular activities. In order to be in Raider Team, you must be capable of keeping up with the team and dedicating yourself to workouts. Many team activities include cardio, core exercises and strength training in order to build up endurance for competitions. During competitions the Raider Team competes with other JROTC Raider Teams in areas of endurance, strength, and teamwork. Being a member of the Raider Team teaches you leadership, confidence, teamwork, and how to keep a healthy life-style. Lastly, cadets can get the Raider ribbon if they participate in at least 75% of all scheduled Raider practices and compete in 2 competitions.

Rocketry
Our Rocketry Team consists of two groups of 9-10 cadets who compete for the American Rocketry Challenge (ARC) to design, build, and launch model rockets. Each year ARC releases a new set of challenges for the competitors to complete. For the 2023 season, the challenge was to create and launch rockets that are at least 25.6 inches tall, carries one raw egg placed inside the rocket to an altitude of 850 feet, make it stay airborne for 42 - 45 seconds, and have the egg return to the ground safely with the rocket still intact. Cadets who attend at least 75% of the meetings/practices scheduled throughout the year can get the Activities ribbon. In addition, if they attend at least 1 rocket launch they will receive the Model Rocketry Badge, which they will be proudly show when they put on their uniform. Lastly through competing with our Rocketry Team, cadets are taught valuable leadership skills, hands-on engineering experience, problem solving skills, and teamwork.

Drill Team
|
The Drill team comprises 12-13 cadets who are put into a Platoon to perform various movements with decommissioned M1 Grand rifles. The cadets selected for the Drill team must be highly disciplined, including precision and leadership. The first type of competition is Regulation. Regulation is when each team of cadets march around a designated area and execute a certain set of commands includes both armed and unarmed groups. The second one is Exhibition in which a cadet is needed to be disciplined to perform movements with a demilitarized weaponry but only in a militaristic fashion twirling, spinning, and tossing the model rifles around. These two types of competitions are done by multiple ROTC units. These tasks require a lot of hand-eye coordination which first-year cadets do. All in all, the drill team requires a lot of training, discipline, dedication, and precision to execute all of the movements properly and together with your fellow cadets.

Armament Team
|
If you ever heard a "BOOM" after our football team scored, that's all due to the Armament Team. Our armament team consists of x cadets who show off their pride for their school football team by coming with their ABUs to the games; shooting a blank from the football team's cannon after the national anthem, after halftime and every time the team scores; and doing push ups to celebrate the team, with the amount of pushups they individually do reflecting the most recent score. Cadets need to be either a 3rd or 4th year cadet to be able to join the armament team. In addition, cadets who attend at least 75% of the home football games scheduled throughout the year as an armament team member can get the Activities ribbon
